University Lecturer & Honorary Consultant Physician, University of Cambridge, Metabolic Research Laboratories, Cambridge, United Kingdom Mark Gurnell is Senior Lecturer in Endocrinology and Associate Clinical Dean in the University Of Cambridge School Of Clinical Medicine. He chairs the Cambridge and East of England pituitary specialist MDT, is clinical lead for the adrenal nodule service, and co-directs a national/international referral service for patients with complex disorders of thyroid function. His current research interests include: (i) the roles of nuclear receptors in human disease; (ii) genetic and acquired disorders of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis; (iii) novel approaches to sparing hypothalamic-pituitary function in patients with sellar/parasellar tumours; (iv) optimizing clinical outcomes in acromegaly; (v) functional imaging in endocrine neoplasia.
