Janice Russell is a Clinical Professor in the Discipline of Psychiatry, the Boden Institute and the Brain Mind Research Institute of the University of Sydney. She is also Medical Director of the Eating Disorders Programs of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the Northside Clinics. Professor Russell has researched and published in many areas pertaining to Eating Disorders and Psychoneuroendocrinology and is on the editorial boards of a number of journals in this area. She is Secretary of the Section for Eating Disorders WPA and on the CEDD executive of NSW Health. Professor Russell and her team have been funded by the Butterfly Foundation to investigate the role of oxytocin in treatment of anorexia nervosa.
